H1B Second Lottery Announced for FY 2024

USCIS has confirmed that a second H1-B lottery will be undertaken for the 2024 fiscal year.

In a statement today, (July 27), the authority confirmed that the first lottery draw had not resulted in the annual quota being met and as such, additional registrations need to be selected to reach the FY 2024 mandatory numerical allocations.

USCIS will now select applicants at random from those electronic registrations filed correctly during the H1B cap registration window earlier this year.

USCIS is due to conduct the second lottery soon.

Registrants who are successful in this second round will be notified through their myUSCIS account, where they can also find instructions on how to file the full visa submission.
